Practical CCNA Networking Course in Ahmedabad

You may have come in wanting a certificate checklist. The work we practise is smaller and stricter: one host, the subnet it actually sits in, a gateway inside that subnet, and a ping. After 12th, in college, changing careers, or already working, you do that with us at Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC). We do not issue a Cisco certificate. The labs are at our three Ahmedabad centres.

How do you place one host in the right subnet?

You count the block, you type the gateway from that count, and you ping. We put a switch and a router in front of you before the answer is written down.

Subnetting for this host means 10.1.1.40/28 belongs to network 10.1.1.32, with usable addresses .33 through .46. Switching means the port is in VLAN users. Routing means the gateway is 10.1.1.33, the router address on that subnet. TCP/IP troubleshooting checks those three facts in that order. Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) teaches this on lab gear at three Ahmedabad centres.

  • Subnetting names the block, not the first three numbers

10.1.1.40 with a /28 sits in 10.1.1.32. A /28 holds 16 addresses. Usable hosts run from .33 to .46, and .47 is the broadcast. The look of “10.1.1” does not make the network 10.1.1.0.

  • The switch port has to be in the VLAN you named

You put the PC’s port in a VLAN you call users. Switching here is that assignment. Two PCs with matching numbers still fail to ping when their ports sit in different VLANs.

  • The router address is the gateway inside this block

You type 10.1.1.33 on the PC. That is the router on this subnet. Routing on this bench is that one gateway, not a table of paths you have not built.

  • Troubleshooting follows the same three checks

TCP/IP troubleshooting means you ask, in order: Is .40 inside .32 to .46? Is the gateway .33, not .1? Is the switch port in users? The first “no” is the fault.

A task on paper first

For 10.1.1.40/28, write the network, the first host, the last host, and the broadcast. Across our centres we have conducted 20,000+ of training. This card is that count, done before you type a gateway.

A worked example: the gateway was .1, and the host is in the .32 block

The address looks close. The mask says it is a different network.

  1. The plan

Host 10.1.1.40, mask /28, network 10.1.1.32, gateway 10.1.1.33, switch port in VLAN users. The ping to .33 is the proof.

  2. What you look at

The ping fails. The PC’s gateway was typed as 10.1.1.1. That address sits in the .0 block, not in the .32 block that actually contains .40.

  3. The decision

You replace .1 with .33. The port is already in users. The ping to the gateway answers. You do not start replacing the cable.

  4. What you write

The block, the wrong gateway, the corrected gateway, and the ping. A memorised network of 10.1.1.0 does not go on the card.

An honest limit: this page is one host and one block. Subnet plans for several rooms, and routing between those rooms, are the Ahmedabad networking course. Once the block is clear, firewall work starts on the network security course.

Where is this kind of networking study heading?

Two changes are already in how people study and how offices hand out addresses. You still count the block and you still ping the gateway inside it. A drafted answer can ignore /28 and call the network 10.1.1.0.

  • Practice apps draft the subnet answer

A draft can call the network 10.1.1.0 because it reads the first three numbers and skips /28. You still count the block of 16 and you still ping .33.

  • The mask disappears behind an automatic address

Many PCs now receive an address without showing the block. When the ping fails, the same three checks still find whether the gateway is in that block.

Study aids now draft subnet answers, and live networks often hide the mask. The durable skill is finding the block that contains the host and proving the gateway with a ping. CEC trains that check on lab gear.

How we teach this path

About 80% of our training is practical. A mentor reads the card the way a reviewer would: Is .40 inside the block you wrote, and did the ping to .33 answer?

  1. 1. Counseling before the first mask

After 12th anyone can apply, from any stream. College students, career changers, and people already working in IT start here too. School learners of any grade start with counseling before a course.

  2. 2. You configure only what you calculated

A mentor sends the card back when the gateway is outside the block, or when the switch port is not in the VLAN you named. About 80% of training time is practical.

  3. 3. You reject a draft that ignores the mask

You may ask for a first answer to “which network is 10.1.1.40/28?” If it says 10.1.1.0, you count the block yourself and you ping .33 before you keep the draft.

  4. 4. The same checks support later security work

A firewall line and an alert both assume you can say which subnet a host is in. That is why this path comes before network security and cyber security, not instead of them.

Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) teaches this as infrastructure practice: one subnet, one switch port, one gateway, and a ping. You start with counseling. We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance. We do not issue a Cisco certificate.

When you can place a host, later security work has a network you can explain. That next step is the cyber security course in Ahmedabad.

Placement support and certificates

The block card and the ping are the proof you can show. We help you put them in a portfolio, then we stay with you for the job search.

How we stay with you

  • We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance in training, projects, and interviews
  • Our 5-step placement preparation covers your resume, the block card, communication, and mock interviews
  • The block, the corrected gateway, and the ping are what you can show
  • Course completion certificates are issued after you finish the practical requirements. This is not a Cisco certificate

What the block, the port, and the gateway each ask of you

These are three jobs on the same host, not three courses. After 12th you can start from the count. College students use the card when a question bank was not enough. Career changers and people already in IT use the failed ping to show they can find a gateway in the wrong block.

  • Subnetting

You write network 10.1.1.32, first host .33, last host .46, and broadcast .47 for this /28. The host .40 has to sit inside that list.

  • The switch port

You place the port in VLAN users and you say so out loud. Configuration is that assignment, then a ping between two PCs in the same VLAN.

  • The gateway

You type 10.1.1.33 and you ping it. If it fails, you recheck the block before you touch the cable.

Questions before the first mask

If you can use a computer and have never counted a subnet, bring that to counseling.

  • How do you find the subnet for one host?

Host 10.1.1.40 with a /28 belongs to network 10.1.1.32. A /28 is 16 addresses. Usable hosts are .33 through .46, and .47 is the broadcast. The gateway on that LAN is .33. At Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) you prove it with a ping, not with a memorised first-three-numbers guess.

  • What do you configure on the switch and the router?

On the switch you put the PC’s port in VLAN users. On the router you use 10.1.1.33 as the gateway for this subnet. You then ping .33. Configuration is those two settings plus the ping. Trunk links and room-sized subnet plans are on our Ahmedabad networking page.

  • What order do you use when a ping fails?

First, is 10.1.1.40 inside .33 to .46? Second, is the gateway 10.1.1.33 and not 10.1.1.1? Third, is the switch port in VLAN users? TCP/IP troubleshooting on this path is that order. The first “no” is the fault you fix.

  • Does CEC issue a Cisco CCNA certificate?

No. You practise the infrastructure skills people study toward that exam: addressing, subnetting, a VLAN on one port, a gateway, and a ping. CEC issues a course completion certificate after the practical requirements. We do not issue a Cisco certificate.

  • Where do VLANs fit if I only name one port?

Naming the port is the switching skill this page asks for. If the second PC is in another VLAN, matching IP numbers still will not ping. Designing several VLANs for a building is the wider networking course.

  • Where is this kind of study heading?

Practice tools now draft subnet answers, and many PCs hide the mask behind an automatic address. A draft can call the network 10.1.1.0 and ignore /28. The check that stays is the block of 16 and a ping to the gateway inside that block.

  • How does CEC help, and why does this matter for security?

You calculate the /28, correct a gateway that fell in the wrong block, and ping. About 80% of training time is practical. Firewall rules and alerts on our network security and cyber security paths assume you can say which subnet a host is in.

  • Can I start after 12th, from college, or while working?

Yes. After 12th anyone can apply, from any stream. College students, career changers, and working professionals use the same block card. School learners of any grade start with counseling before a course. You do not need a prior networking job.

  • Which Ahmedabad centre can I join?

Labs run at our three centres — Maninagar, Nikol and Vatva. Counseling is by call, WhatsApp, or email on +91 75740 10176 or info@cecyours.org. Visiting is optional. Nishant Yadav teaches server administration and hardware networking at Nikol. Counseling assigns the same block card at the other centres.

  • Is this the same as the Ahmedabad networking course?

This page is the practical answer to a certification-style question: one host, its block, its gateway, and a ping. The networking course is the wider path, including subnet plans for whole rooms, more VLANs, and routing between them. Bring both to counseling if you are unsure where to start.
