GenAI Developer Course in Maninagar, Ahmedabad

GenAI developer work here means building applications in Python: model APIs, a context builder you can unit-test, structured output validation and regression tests — not only chatting with a model. At Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC), Tanvi Darji reviews your fixtures before live calls count. The lab is ~2 minutes from maninagar railway station.

Test helpers first — then the live API

  • Context builderA Python function packs instructions and allowed facts — testable without calling the model.
  • API callOne service owns the vendor request: timeout, retry once, key outside source files.
  • ValidateStructured output must match your schema. Bad JSON never reaches the screen.
  • TestsUnit tests for builder and validator; a small eval set for model answers on every change.

What do you build as a GenAI developer?

Five skills in code. Prompt chat alone is upstream; this path owns the application around the model.

GenAI development is building software that calls generative models through Python APIs, with context designed in code, structured outputs validated before use, and tests that catch regressions. Developers unit-test helpers without spending live calls, then integrate timeouts and evaluation sets. Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) reviews those tests in mentor-checked project packets.

  • Python you can rely on

Functions, errors and virtual environments so a bad file or empty reply does not crash the app.

  • Model API integration

Send requests, read responses, keep secrets out of code, and return a clear fallback on timeout.

  • Context design in code

build_context(...) decides what enters each call. You unit-test it with fixtures — no vendor bill required.

  • Structured outputs

A schema plus validate_output(...) that rejects missing fields or invents before anything is shown.

  • Testing the application

Fast unit tests for your helpers; a short evaluation set that fails when a prompt change invents claims.

Practice task

Write build_context and validate_output stubs with two fixture tests each — one pass, one must fail. What we do with you here: Tanvi checks those tests before you enable a live model key.

A worked example: demo works, unit tests missing

Input → what you look at → decision → what you write down. This is the developer habit we practise with you.

  1. The feature

A practice /ask endpoint answers fee questions from a sandbox policy file. Python builds context, calls the model API, validates JSON with answer and source_line, then returns it.

  2. First failure

Live demos look fine. Unit tests never ran. build_context accidentally appended an old marketing note that mentioned “weekend batch.” The model cited it; eval case “no weekend fees” failed.

  3. What you look at

Fixture test: given only the fee table path, context must not contain “weekend.” Validator test: empty source_line must raise. Both were missing — the bug lived in your code, not only the prompt.

  4. The decision

Write those two unit tests first. Fix the builder allow-list. Keep a three-case eval set. Only then spend live API calls. Timeout returns a fallback string your tests also cover.

  5. After the fix

Builder and validator tests pass. Eval set: 3 of 3. Tanvi reviews the test file and one failing-then-passing log — not a chat screenshot.

  6. What you write down

Function names, fixture inputs, eval scores and the timeout fallback message. That packet is GenAI developer proof.

Where is GenAI development heading?

Snippets get drafted faster. Untested wrappers still invent. What we do with you here: every feature keeps helper tests and an eval set.

  • Model vendors change; your wrappers stay

APIs and model names shift. A single Python service with timeouts and validation still owns the call so the rest of the app does not care which vendor you swapped.

  • Assistants draft integration code

Helpers can suggest request snippets. You still unit-test the context builder and reject bad JSON — generated code without tests invents the same failures.

Where GenAI coding helpers still fail

  • It drafts a live API call while your context builder was never unit-tested
  • It returns JSON that looks fine while source_line is empty
  • It changes the prompt and skips the eval set that used to catch invents

GenAI development is shifting toward thinner vendor wrappers and assistant-drafted integration code, while untested context builders remain a common failure. The stable skills are unit tests for helpers, schema validation and regression evaluation. Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) trains learners to keep those habits in every GenAI feature.

How we teach GenAI development

About 80% practical — with mentor review of your fixtures, not only a live demo.

  1. 1. Counseling checks your Python base

Ready for APIs and tests, or generative AI practice first. School learners of any grade start with counseling first.

  2. 2. Tanvi Darji reviews your unit tests

She teaches data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. She sends the project back if the context builder has no fixtures.

  3. 3. You integrate, validate and re-test

About 80% of training time is practical. Live model calls come after builder and validator tests pass.

  4. 4. You leave with a developer packet

Functions, fixtures, eval scores and timeout fallback — evidence for mentoring and interviews.

At Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC), GenAI development starts with counseling, then Python helpers, API integration, validators and tests reviewed by mentors such as Tanvi Darji. Learners leave with a developer packet they can explain in interviews. We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance in training, projects and interviews.

Questions about GenAI development

  • What is a GenAI developer?

Someone who builds applications around generative models in code: Python, model APIs, context design, structured outputs and testing. The work is software around the model — not only typing prompts in a chat window.

  • How do you build a GenAI feature in Python here?

You write a context builder and an output validator you can unit-test, wrap the model API with timeout and fallback, then run a small evaluation set on every change. Mentors review those tests before the feature counts.

  • How is this different from generative AI in Maninagar?

The Maninagar generative AI page focuses on evaluation-first workflows and prompting practice. This GenAI developer page is for learners ready to own Python services, APIs and automated tests around the model.

  • Why unit-test the context builder without calling the model?

Most invents start when the wrong facts enter the request. Fixture tests catch that cheaply. In our fee endpoint example, a leaked marketing note caused a false “weekend” answer until the builder allow-list was tested.

  • Do I need strong Python before I start?

You need comfort with functions, errors and reading files. Counseling places foundations or generative AI practice first when that base is missing. After 10th or 12th anyone can apply; school learners of any grade start with counseling first.

  • Where is GenAI development heading?

Vendors and assistants change quickly. Owning a thin Python wrapper with timeouts, schemas and regression tests stays valuable either way.

  • How does CEC help you become a GenAI developer?

Tanvi Darji teaches data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence here. You build context helpers, API calls, validators and tests — about 80% practical. We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance in training, projects and interviews.

  • Who is this path for?

College students, career changers and working professionals who want to ship GenAI features in code. If prompting-only practice is still new, counseling may start you on generative AI in Maninagar first.

  • How do I reach the Maninagar lab?

CEC Maninagar is ~2 minutes from Maninagar Railway Station, on the 2nd floor of Gopal Tower. BRTS, AMTS both serve the area. Learners also come from Kankaria, Isanpur, Ghodasar, Khokhra, Meghaninagar, Danilimda. Call +91 75740 10176 before you visit.

  • Do I need to visit before classroom admission?

For classroom admission we warmly welcome you and your parents to visit — meet mentors and staff, see the lab and ask questions face to face. Call or WhatsApp +91 75740 10176 to book a time. Please choose whichever centre is easier for you if Nikol or Vatva suits your commute better. Learning from outside Ahmedabad? We guide you on a counseling call and complete admission online.
