Prompt Engineering Course in Vatva, Ahmedabad

Prompt engineering here means locking an output-format contract first — then adding instructions, context, constraints, examples and tests — not hoping a free paragraph is complete. At Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC), Priya Shrivas reviews your labels and Not-stated rules. The centre is near vatva lake garden; opposite kashiben hospital.

Labels first → then the ask

  • Name fieldsWrite the exact labels the answer must use — before any instruction prose.
  • Missing ruleFor every field: if the source lacks it, write “Not stated” — never invent.
  • Then the askAdd instruction, context, constraints and one example that fills those labels only.
  • Check setThree inputs: clean, missing field, and a trap that invites invents. Score each label.

What do you lock in a practical prompt?

Six parts. The format contract decides whether an answer is checkable.

Prompt engineering is designing and testing instructions for AI models so answers stay useful and consistent. Practical work covers instruction, context, constraints, examples, output format, and refinement. Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) reviews format contracts so every field is present or honestly marked Not stated.

  • Output format first

Fixed labels — Part, Qty, Machine, Urgency, Note — so every answer is scoreable field by field.

  • Instruction

One action that fills those labels. “Rewrite for the next shift” beats “make this clearer”.

  • Context

Who reads the handoff and why. A next-shift note and a manager email need different tone.

  • Constraints

Use only the source. Missing quantity becomes Not stated — invents fail the format contract.

  • Examples

One good fill of the same labels, plus one refuse when a field is absent.

  • Testing and refinement

Score each label on the check set. Change one part at a time; keep only what improves the contract.

Practice task

Before you write any ask, list five labels for a short handoff. Add a Not-stated rule. Then write the instruction. What we do with you here: Priya checks those labels before she scores the reply.

For scorecard-before-rewrite, see prompt engineering in Maninagar. For layer-by-layer stacks, see prompt engineering in Nikol.

A worked example: fluent note, invented quantity

Input → what you look at → decision → what you write down. This is the format-contract habit we practise with you.

  1. The task

Turn a messy spare-parts WhatsApp into a six-line shift note: Part, Qty, Machine, Urgency, Source line, Note — facts only.

  2. First failure

A fluent paragraph invents “Qty: 4” when the chat never stated a number. The next shift orders parts on a guess.

  3. What you look at

No format contract written first. No Not-stated rule. Scoring was “sounds fine” instead of label-by-label.

  4. The decision

Lock the six labels before the ask. Add “if Qty is missing, write Not stated”. Build three cases: clean chat, missing qty, chat that never names a machine.

  5. After the fix

Clean case fills all six lines. Missing qty says Not stated. Missing machine refuses invents. Priya accepts the contract and scores.

  6. What you write down

Format contract, prompt version, three case scores and the refuse example. That packet is prompt craft proof here.

Where is prompt engineering heading?

Free paragraphs fade when the next step needs fields. What we do with you here: every prompt keeps a format contract.

  • Answers move into tables and tools more often

Locked labels still matter when the next step is a form, sheet or review screen — not a free paragraph.

  • Assistants draft prompts quickly

Generated wording still invents fields. A format contract and Not-stated rule catch that before you trust the reply.

Where AI writing helpers still fail

  • It invents a quantity, machine id or urgency that was never in the source
  • It returns a fluent paragraph while skipping the labels you asked for
  • It cannot show which field failed unless you scored the format contract

Prompt engineering is shifting toward answers that feed forms and tools, while invented fields remain common without a locked format. The stable skills are labelled contracts, Not-stated rules and field-by-field checks. Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) trains learners to write the format before the ask.

How we teach prompt engineering

About 80% practical — with mentor review of your format contract, not only a fluent demo.

  1. 1. Counseling places your first AI step

Format-contract prompt craft first, or generative AI structured handoffs when you already need models and validation together. School learners of any grade start with counseling first.

  2. 2. Priya Shrivas reviews your format contract

She teaches Prompt Engineering here. She sends the packet back if labels and Not-stated rules were never written before the ask.

  3. 3. You lock, test and refine

About 80% of training time is practical. Each label is scored on the same three inputs.

  4. 4. You leave with a prompt packet

Format contract, versions, label scores and a refuse example — evidence for mentoring and interviews.

At Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC), prompt engineering starts with counseling, then real tasks with format contracts and label scores reviewed by mentors such as Priya Shrivas. Learners leave with a prompt packet they can explain. We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance in training, projects and interviews.

Questions about prompt engineering

  • What is prompt engineering?

Designing and testing instructions for AI models so answers stay useful and consistent. At this centre we emphasise locking an output-format contract first — exact labels and a Not-stated rule — then adding instruction, context, constraints, examples and tests.

  • Why lock the output format first?

Free paragraphs hide invents. Named labels let you score each field and refuse missing facts. The ask and examples then fill that contract instead of inventing structure after the fact.

  • How is this different from Maninagar or Nikol prompt engineering?

Maninagar centres on a scorecard before you rewrite. Nikol centres on stacking layers one at a time. Vatva makes the format contract — labels and Not-stated rules — the spine of the prompt.

  • How is this different from generative AI in Vatva?

Generative AI in Vatva emphasises structured extracts and validated handoffs inside wider GenAI workflows. This prompt engineering page is for the craft of writing format contracts into the prompt itself — often a first practical step.

  • Do I need coding to start?

No. You can design format contracts, score labels and refine prompts without code. Coding helps later when you validate shapes in programs — counseling maps that next step.

  • Who teaches prompt engineering at Vatva?

Priya Shrivas teaches Prompt Engineering at CEC Vatva. She reviews your format contract and label scores, not only a fluent demo reply.

  • Where is prompt engineering heading?

Answers feed tables and tools more often, and assistants draft prompts quickly. Locked labels and Not-stated rules stay valuable when invents look fluent.

  • How does CEC help you learn prompt engineering?

Priya guides real tasks with format contracts and check sets — about 80% practical. We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance in training, projects and interviews.

  • Who is this path for?

College students, career changers and working professionals who want practical AI interaction they can evaluate. After 10th or 12th anyone can apply; school learners of any grade start with counseling first.

  • How do I reach the Vatva lab?

  • Do I need to visit before classroom admission?

For classroom admission we warmly welcome you and your parents to visit — meet mentors and staff, see the lab and ask questions face to face. Call or WhatsApp +91 91571 90839 to book a time. Please choose whichever centre is easier for you if Maninagar or Nikol suits your commute better. Learning from outside Ahmedabad? We guide you on a counseling call and complete admission online.
