Deep Learning Course in Maninagar, Ahmedabad
Deep learning here means a practical loop: prepare training data, train a neural network, watch optimization and evaluation, then finish a project you can explain. At Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC), Tanvi Darji reviews your splits and validation curve before the project counts. The lab is ~2 minutes from maninagar railway station.

What do you practise in deep learning?
Four pillars. Together they turn a network demo into a project you can defend.
Deep learning is training multi-layer neural networks on labelled data with an optimiser, then evaluating on held-out examples before you trust the result. Practice covers neural network structure, training-data preparation, optimization choices such as learning rate, model evaluation and a finished project log. Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) teaches this path with mentor review of splits and validation curves.
Neural networks
Layers of neurons that turn inputs into predictions. Deep learning means stacking enough layers to learn useful patterns from large sets of examples.
Training data
Labelled examples the model learns from — and separate validation and test sets you never use for weight updates. Bad splits create false confidence.
Optimization
How weights move: an optimiser plus a learning rate. Too high and loss jumps; too low and training crawls. You change one setting at a time.
Model evaluation
Scores on data the model has not trained on — accuracy, loss curves, and a short written note of failure cases you inspected by hand.
Practice task
Before any training run, write your train / validation / test counts and the learning rate you will try first. After one epoch block, note whether validation loss fell or rose. What we do with you here: Tanvi reviews that note before you change a second setting.
A worked example: high train accuracy, weak validation
Input → what you look at → decision → what you write down. This is the evaluation habit we practise with you.
The project
Classify practice images into three folders. You have 900 labelled photos. Before training, you set aside 180 for validation and 90 for a final test — never mixed back into training.
First run
Learning rate 0.01. After 12 epochs, train accuracy is 97% but validation accuracy stalls near 71% and validation loss rises.
What you look at
Confusion on the validation set: two classes swap often. Several training images are near-duplicates. The network memorised those copies.
The decision
Remove duplicates from training, lower the learning rate to 0.001, add light data augmentation, and stop when validation loss stops improving.
After the fix
Validation accuracy reaches 86%. The hold-out test scores 84%. You open ten wrong predictions and write why each failed.
What you write down
Split sizes, learning rates tried, epoch where you stopped, validation and test scores, and the ten failure notes. That packet is the project — not a high training number alone.
For a hand-worked single training step, see the neural networks course in Ahmedabad. If classic models are still new, start with machine learning in Ahmedabad.
Where is deep learning practice heading?
Tools get faster. Honest evaluation stays. What we do with you here: every project keeps a validation curve and a failure note.
Pre-trained backbones you fine-tune
Many projects start from a network already trained on large public data, then adapt it to your labels. You still need clean splits, honest validation and a project log — the backbone does not remove evaluation.
AI helpers draft training code
Assistants can suggest Keras or TensorFlow snippets. You still choose the learning rate, read the validation curve and reject a run that only looks good on training data.
Where deep learning runs still fail
- Train accuracy looks excellent while validation quietly gets worse
- Test images leak into training because folders were mixed by hand
- A learning-rate jump makes loss explode and nobody saved the last good checkpoint
Deep learning practice is shifting toward fine-tuning pre-trained networks and AI-assisted training code, while overfitting on duplicated training data remains a common failure. The stable skills are clean data splits, careful optimization and evaluation on held-out sets. Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC) trains learners to keep those habits in every project.
How we teach deep learning
About 80% practical — with mentor review of your validation curve, not only your training score.
1. Counseling checks your base
Python comfort and whether machine learning should come before deep stacks. School learners of any grade start with counseling first.
2. Tanvi Darji reviews your splits
She teaches data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. She sends the project back if training and validation folders were mixed.
3. You train, then you evaluate
About 80% of training time is practical. You change one setting at a time and keep the curve that proves it.
4. You leave with a project packet
Split sizes, learning rates, scores and failure notes — work you can open in an interview, not a screenshot of high training accuracy.
At Computer Education And Cybernetics (CEC), deep learning starts with counseling, then data splits, training runs and evaluation notes reviewed by mentors such as Tanvi Darji. Learners leave with a project packet they can explain in interviews. We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance in training, projects and interviews.

Questions about deep learning
What is deep learning?
Deep learning trains neural networks with many layers on labelled data so they learn useful patterns for tasks such as image or text classification. Practice means preparing training data, choosing an optimiser and learning rate, watching validation performance and finishing with a project you can explain.
How does deep learning training actually work?
You split data into train, validation and test sets. The network updates weights on the train set. You evaluate on validation to decide when to stop or change the learning rate. Only at the end do you score the untouched test set. Inventing success from training accuracy alone fails this loop.
How is deep learning different from neural network basics?
Neural network basics explain layers, activations and one training step. Deep learning practice adds data splits, optimization choices, evaluation curves and project work on fuller datasets. Both matter; counseling decides which you need first.
What does overfitting look like?
Train scores keep rising while validation scores stall or fall. In our image example, 97% train accuracy with ~71% validation meant the network memorised duplicates. Fixing data and lowering the learning rate recovered validation and test scores together.
Do I need strong maths before I start?
You need comfort with basic Python and the idea of labelled examples. Counseling places machine learning or Python first when that base is missing. After 10th or 12th anyone can apply; school learners of any grade start with counseling before a course.
Where is deep learning practice heading?
More projects fine-tune pre-trained networks, and AI assistants draft training code. Clean splits, honest validation and a written project log stay valuable either way.
How does CEC help you practise deep learning?
Tanvi Darji teaches data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence here. You prepare splits, train, read validation curves and finish a project packet — about 80% practical. We stay with you until you get a job, based on your performance in training, projects and interviews.
Who is this path for?
College students, career changers and working professionals who want project-level deep learning practice. If classic machine learning is still new, counseling may start you there first.
