Starting AI from zero means learning three things in order: how to handle information carefully, how to work with AI assistants without trusting them blindly, and how to build or analyse something small yourself. At Computer Education And Cybernetics Nikol you do this on our lab machines with a mentor nearby, in English, Hindi, or Gujarati, and you finish your first real piece of work inside the first month.
Beginners usually delay for reasons that are not real. Here is the honest version of the requirements.
This is the shape of a beginner start at our Nikol centre. Your pace may differ, and that is fine — the order rarely changes.
You learn what the tools do, where files live, and the vocabulary people throw around: model, prompt, data, training. Nothing is assumed. Ask the small question now so it does not block you in month three.
You start using AI assistants on real tasks: explaining something you do not understand, drafting a note, checking a calculation. The habit we insist on is verification — you open the source and confirm before you trust the answer.
You take a small file, clean it, and answer a question with it. This is where most beginners realise AI is mostly careful thinking about information, and only sometimes clever code.
You complete one piece of work end to end and explain it out loud to your mentor. Finishing something small early is what keeps people from dropping out in month two.
We do not ask a beginner to pick a specialisation on day one. You choose after you have felt the work.
Is one AI direction better than the others? No — they lead to different jobs. Building applications, working with language and prompts, and working with data all use the same foundations for the first few weeks. That overlap is why choosing later costs you almost nothing, and choosing blindly on day one can cost you months.
